Antiracism and the Archive: Carnegie Museum of Art

In her Anti-Racism and the Archive video below, Amanda Awanjo reflects on how her Humanities Engage Pitch Your Own Immersive with the Carnegie Museum of Art helped her to concretize her career goals, aspirations, and dreams. Her brief was to use the museum archives to think through the museum’s own relationship with the Black community and to imagine what an anti-racist museum would look like. She concludes that the opportunity and possibility of applying the “power of the work we do as graduate students” to other spaces was “eye-opening and amazing.”
